How a vibrant rural California helps entire economy

The California Economic Summit has been focusing some of its attention on the economic prospects of rural California. California has a significant landmass-encompassing about 55 percent of our landmass-with a rural population spread throughout many counties. The population is only about 9 percent of the state’s population-so often the needs of those who live in rural California are drowned out by the more populous areas.
