Data Collection and Mapping for Broadband Adoption

This cross sector collaborative led by Fresno Cradle to Career, includes representatives from K-12, Higher Education, Government and Community Based Organizations. The current mapping we have available to us doesn’t describe an accurate, up-to-date picture of needs around digital access and literacy; we need a better way to target and align resources as well to understand if we’re making improvements. The goal of this group is to pilot and scale a more robust data collection system around broadband/device access, and digital literacy in Fresno County. This plan will include a combination of surveys, phone calls and speed testing to produce a more accurate map for broadband adoption, as well as providing more in-depth knowledge of barriers and needs.
